Hi, my name is Marta, but you can call me Em.
Why did I call my site the Grumpy Nomad Cat? Honestly, why not? 😜
On a serious note, though, I do tend to get grumpy, especially when I don't get to travel - ask my husband!
I also have four cats at home, so I guess the name just reflects a bit of my character mixed with my love for cats and travelling.
Grumpy Nomad Cat is a travel blog dedicated to sharing captivating travel stories, inspiring itineraries, valuable travel tips, and honest reviews.
My goal is to provide fellow travel enthusiasts with engaging content that fuels their wanderlust and helps them plan memorable adventures. With a little bit of grumpiness.

What makes me think that I have the authority or knowledge to share travel tips, review places and products or create great itineraries?
I'm not going to pin it on my Bachelor's Degree in Tourism. I don't even remember much from my university, to be honest. But I started to travel the minute I turned 18, in 2007.
This gives me almost 20 years of experience, ranging from living in five different countries, visiting 30 in total (at the time of writing), travelling as a solo woman through Asia, and recently planning itineraries for family holidays in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. (See the list of countries I travelled to below.)
As grumpy as I get, I love to travel. Always have. I also love to meet and explore new cultures, try different foods (and alcohols!), and share my love for exploration with others.
So welcome to the Grumpy Nomad Cat Blog, where you can see the world through my grumpy, but hopefully funny and entertaining lens.
